S96 A Slow burn…
In this Seder, we recall the important olive (זית zait) oil which was fuel for the low, constantly burning lights of the menorah. Aharon was to set and keep in order (ערך arak) everything in the Holy Place just as the LORD commanded. These two ideas can act as guides for us as we work through times when we want to hear from the mouth of God, but do not know what to do—similar to the situation faced by the Children of Israel in this Seder (Lev 24:10-23).
