S 104 That they might not be cut off…
Many of us have people in our lives that we seek to preserve or shield until they come (back) into right relationship with G-d. Like Moshe and Aharon were tasked with protecting the tribe of Kehat (Numbers 4:17-5:10) from being cut off (כרת), we pray, beg mercy, model, and even admonish those we hope to direct clear of divine judgment. But the Haftarah (Zeph. 3:7-17) and the New Covenant reading (Rom. 11:17-27) show us that YHVH never stops his divine work of bringing about the change we (and He) desire(s). He accomplishes this supernaturally!
